One of the aims proposed in the Radiotelevision Valenciana (RTVV) Digitalization of Audio-visual Documentation project was to migrate the information that we had been describing, cataloguing, and indexing in BRS´s different databases throughout the years. We were relying on the work of unification and normalization undertaken in 2004, when we moved from BRS/search version 7.0 to the environment BKM v.3.1. From our experience, we know that the quality of a TV archive improves to the extent that it covers both the current and restrospective information. Therefore, a specific workflow was created to automatically digitize the images contained in the Betacam tapes from the xml file generated in the new Tarsys system
