Sobre la revista
Focus and scope
EPI publishes ORIGINAL scientific and technical articles, in Spanish or English, on: INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION which includes: INFORMATION SYSTEMS (analysis and design) and INFORMATION MANAGEMENT with all the corresponding subareas: libraries, documentation centers, scientific publication, databases, document software, intelligence, marketing, indexing, social networks, etc.
Peer review process
The papers are reviewed according to the traditional "peer review" system in double-blind, that is, maintaining mutual anonymity between the reviewer and the author or authors of the work. The journal entrusts the review to experts in the field, members of the journal's Scientific Council and/or external to the editorial team. In view of the review reports, the editor of the journal will make the final decision whether or not to publish the text.
To ensure that the papers do not lose their relevance, the management and evaluators of this journal make a special effort to review the articles very quickly, achieving an average time of acceptance or rejection of the papers of only a few weeks.
Originality analysis
All manuscripts are scanned in Crossref's Similarity Check plagiarism detector, which uses Turnitin's iThenticate:
