Youth rehabilitation programme in Tecla Sala Central Library

In 2006, the Municipal Libraries Network of L´Hospitalet (Barcelona) was invited to participate in a youth rehabilitation programme aimed at the social integration of problematic youth by placing them in the workplace. The Tecla Sala Central Library of L´Hospitalet was selected for the pilot experience, and a plan to welcome and monitor the youth participants was designed. The results of the program have been very positive and much appreciated by all parties involved. The programme has continued and during the year 2008 will be extended to the rest of the libraries in the municipal network.
