Abstract

Presentation of the OpenOffice suite and the ODF format. The basic characteristics of OpenOffice and ODF format are presented. The need for the adoption of opensource software and open formats is discussed. Finally, an ODF case study of converting xhtml documents related to an e-learning course is presented.
