Abstract

Management, trade strategies, marketing and users of Spanish ebook market are analysed in this paper, from the point of view of main subscription agents. Swets and EBSCO country managers in Spain were interviewed in order to obtain the general overview presented. Despite it is difficult to assess this matter, an special emphasis on Humanities and Social Sciences ebook supply is pretended, because of the traditional leading role of monographs in these areas. The most extended opinion in the scholarly context -researchers, librarians, publishers and subscription agents- is that scholarly ebook is being accepted much more slower than e-journals but it will getting more and more important.
