Aproximately twenty years ago, new electronic journals were appearing. After that, scientiffic publication system is still in transition, though it seems that its destiny is not what it was predicted it could be. Social Sciences ara changing the way the diffuse knowledgement, increalingly similar to Pure and Aplied Sciences. But, are the Pure and Applied Sciences working in the same way? To answer this, different parameters related to Open Access, e-journals and repositories are studied related to Physics and Chemistry in order to compare their behaviour and use. From the results, it can be concluded that are mainly digital repositories and not Open Access Journals what differenciate Physics and Chemstry. Some of the ideas could be useful for Information Science regarding its behaviour in the way it diffuses new knowledgement.Downloads
