Media researchers frequently need to record and store a huge amount of media content. Until recently, the scholars of the Department of Communication at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona handled this problem in an analogical and manual old-fashioned way. After the migration to iptv, this department has designed the MRecIPTV solution. This software enables to record, store and access digital media content. Arguably the implementation of MRecIPTV becomes an asset in the always demanding for documental heritage media environment. Consequently, comparative research can increase its potential in the near future.Downloads
