Abstract

This study evaluates different software free application to administrative archives management and their establishment in university archive. Software evaluated is: Archon, Archivist Toolkit and ICA-AtoM. In the comparative, we have considerate twelve requirements concerning metadata management, description standards and lending, life-cycle analysis of document. Comparative results denote when software posses some characteristic. Applications analyzed do not satisfy all archive management requirements, however free software can customize and integration with new contexts.
